MOVING TARGET – LIIKKUVA KOHDE KAUPUNGISSA
on taidehistorijoitsija Anna Novakovin (San Francisco) ja kuvataiteilija Denise Zieglerin (Helsinki) kesällä 2004 aloittama hanke jossa eri kulttuurialan ammattilaiset pohtivat urbaania asuinympäristöään. Näyttelyyn osallistuvat taiteilijat ja teoreetikot toteuttavat yhteisvoimin teoksia esitettäväksi Kluuvin galleriassa. Galleriatilassa järjestettävässä symposiumissa on mahdollista keskustella tekijöiden kanssa esillä olevista teoksista.

Moving Target
“Cities are places where large groups of people are doing something. A cities infrastructure leads, guides, protects and regulates its citizens and its visitors as groups. Still, each person experiences the city as an individual. These individual perceptions were the basis for the works in this exhibition. In the city, people move individually. In the city certain situations are repeated but they never happen exactly in the same way again. Expected movements and the events which actually take place differ from one another and these differences were the starting point for the works in this exhibition. Traditionally cities are places for trading goods, services, opinions and visions. They are centers of communication that naturally lead to a lot of misunderstandings and misinterpretations. The Moving Target –works are statements concerning the basic conditions for starting a public conversation.”
