PEKKA JYLHÄ - Nest of Light
19.9. - 18.11.2007

Pekka Jylhä (1955) is a versatile sculptor, whom the general public knows as the artist of the monument to President Urho Kekkonen in Helsinki, for example. The exhibition at Art Museum Meilahti will present his sculptures, including both public art and exhibition works. His work is easy to approach and even humorous, but it often has a serious and even grave undertone: the great mystery of life itself.

The exhibition will be produced in collaboration with Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art and South Karelia Art Museum.
