SAM VANNI - teacher and master
18.6. - 21.9.2008

Sam Vanni (1908–1992) was one of the most important post-Second-World-War reformists of Finnish abstract art. He was also a beloved and charismatic teacher whose career in the Free Art School, the Fine Arts Academy of Finland and the University of Technology influenced an entire generation of artists. Even many contemporary artists name him as their inspiration and model.

The exhibition presents works by Vanni, his pupils and followers from the 1940s to the present.
