The sapphire blue `The Omega' toured the municipalities of the Uusimaa province in 1993. Like Antero Toikka's `The Ornament' (1991), it is a movable installation whose meaning is to a great degree based on its surroundings and the communication between its shape and surroundings. The name, `The Omega', lends the work literary content. `Omega' is the final letter in the Greek alphabet. In the Bible, the alpha (the initial letter) and omega metaphor refers to the beginning and end of everything, to the unequalled God. The sculpture's shape can also be understood as a reference to the shape of the Greek letter ´The Omega' was made of steel plate by gas cutting and welding. The sculpture's outer dimensions are 2.4 x 2.4 x 2.4 m.
