This two-part glass-tile installation is a study of open and closed shapes. Although the two parts are positioned at a distance from each other, they are closely connected by their uniting theme. Closed Shell is shell-like in shape and made from blue glass tiles (its dimensions are 320 cm x 330 cm x 540 cm). It is suggestive of the sea but also of the introverted impassive high-rise blocks that surround it. The other part, Open Shell, is made from blue-green glass tiles and is like a plant. The piece is a 'park' of scattered glass towers, its rhythm dictated by the surrounding high-rises.
