Steel Construction at no. 23 backyard by artist Kari Huhtamo. The steel tubes are welded together in an idosyncratic way which can be interpreted as a spatial-geometrical form. As the work gleams in the light it has a lighter, more organic appearance suggesting a flower-like form, or even that of the wings of a butterfly.
The artist's trademark is of simplified forms and glistening steel.
He has other other public works to his name including Avarte in Pihlajamäki (a district of Helsinki), and a steel monument inaugurated in Rovaniemi (in the north of Finland) from the year 1977.
