`The Water Bearer' is a romantic piece of sculpture, resembling the realistic and idealistic sculpture of the 19th century. It depicts a young woman raising a water jar, dressed in a garment typical of Antiquity. Viktor Malmberg made the bronze work in 1923, and it was placed in its present location in 1924.
