The contrasting colors of red and blue, originating from Anna-Lea Kopperi’s work of art, decorate the pedestrian and bicycle bridge at the Kannelmäki railway station. The northern view from the bridge has been made blue with a translucent gradient film that gets darker towards the top. Similarly, the southern side has been made red. Thus the northern view looks colder and the southern view warmer.
Anna-Lea Kopperi has complemented her art studies in both France and Germany. Her art is mainly environmental art. Kopperi is interested in combining contrasting elements: minimalistic and geometric shapes combined with natural elements and materials.
