Sculptor Jari Juvonen’s work in the grounds of Aurora Hospital in front of Building 14 consists of two figures hewn from red granite and placed facing each other. Juvonen has used a chisel to roughen the surface of the figures. The sculptures reach a height of nearly 2 metres. The facial features of the tall and narrow figures are blurred by the rough surface texture. The mouths are hardly distinguishable, the eyes seem blocked, and the shape of the faces remains indeterminate.
The work belongs to the collections of the Helsinki Art Museum.
