Minna Tuominen’s work Silence consists of three stone blocks. The work is situated behind the Aurora hospital building no. 8 near to the seating area. The works are made of large polished black granite transported from Jyväskylä and Korpilahti. The largest element stands at a height of 115 cm and the lowest at 55 cm. For the onlookers, the look and tactical qualities are identical. The name Silence refers to one’s sense of hearing, which according to the artist has a wider meaning than just an absence of sound.
