"Lynxes" consists of two gateposts with climbing lynxes.

Gunnar Finne studied architecture before he took up art studies, as is shown by his ability to harmoniously integrate sculptures to buildings. This skill made him popular with architects such as Lindgren, Saarinen and Sirén who commissioned extensive decorations for their buildings from Finne. Finne's oeuvre comprises statues, reliefs and medals.

In Helsinki, Finne's works include "The Nectar of Life" (facade of Alko Inc. in Salmisaari), the statue of Topelius in the Esplanade park and portal pieces in Töölö and Sörnäinen.
